In this section I have tried to share some of my secrets
on making dairy free cakes so you too can do so at home.
Dairy Free Butter
• Use a non-dairy sunflower margarine instead of butter
or a margarine that contains dairy products. I use Pure, this margarine
can be found in most supermarkets or Health Food Shops.

Dairy Free Milk
• Use unsweetened soya milk instead of cows milk.
However, if you are also allergic to Soya milk as well as cows milk,
like my sister is, you can use rice milk instead, which can also be
found in most supermarkets.

Dairy Free Chocolate
• Use dark chocolate (70% cocoa) instead of milk
chocolate, cakes made with this chocolate provide a much richer
taste experience. You have to be careful though as I found some dark
chocolate has lactose in which is a dairy product. As such ensure, make
sure you read the ingredients on the chocolate you buy to make sure
there are no dairy products in.
